Team GB – Lego Olympic Minifigures London 2012

Lego Olympic Minifigures-Team GBThe Lego Olympic Minifigures have been officially launched today, appropriately named Team GB to represent this year’s host nation- Great Britain.

Lego created the limited edition series of minifigures to accompany their wildly successful regular series of collectible minfigures as a way of celebrating the Summer Games of the XXX Olympiad which will take place in and around the city of London from 27th of July to the 12th of August.

The figures will be presented in the same format as the regular collectible minifigures – that is sealed in bags so you cannot tell which figure is inside. They will be available in the UK only from 1st July 2012 and will cost £1.99 each

For fans outside of the UK, will be your best bet 🙂

Here is the Official Press Release:

To celebrate the London 2012 Games, the number one selling toy in the UK market* is back with an exclusive special edition line of Team GB LEGO Minifigures

The Team GB LEGO Minifigures spark the sporting imagination, so you can stage your very own Games.

Lego Activity Sheet

As I mentioned yesterday I have been busy scanning Lego goodies and today I have an Lego Activity Sheet for fans of Lego Minifigures, particularly Series 6.

Spot the Minifigure! from the Lego Club Magazine Jan-May 2012 issue incorporates all 16 of the Series 6 minifigures, as well as some ring-ins from other waves, in a street scene which includes the Modular Buildings Pet Store and Fire Brigade in the background.

It’s a cute photo and it is always good to see the scale of the modular buildings in relation to the minfigures.

Setting up dioramas like this is one of my favorite things to do for my kids when they are away at school -I don’t get out much 🙂
